Designed around warmth, simplicity and craftsmanship, this bespoke contemporary kitchen celebrates the natural character of timber. Particular attention was paid to the timber veneer kitchen cabinetry, with the grain carefully selected and laid horizontally so that it flows continuously across the cupboard doors, creating a calm and considered rhythm throughout the space.
Just as important was retaining the family’s much-loved heirloom dining table. Rather than replacing it, we made the vintage piece an integral part of the new kitchen design, pairing it with a contemporary pendant light to create a deliberate contrast between old and new. Its age, character and patina help ground the cleaner lines of the new cabinetry and give the space a sense of history and personality.
Paired with pale stone worktops, handleless cabinetry and restrained architectural detailing, the result is a warm and timeless modern kitchen interior where natural materials, contemporary design and treasured pieces come together to create a space that feels personal, tactile and beautifully resolved.
