A therapy studio built from natural and sustainable materials.

The round room is a new therapy room for Dandelion Time, a charity that works to provide nature-based therapies for vulnerable children and families. The round room will be constructed from structural straw bales with a lime render finish. The bales will be pinned with hazel rods to provide structural integrity and will be built on footings made form gravel packed recycled tyres to negate the need for carbon intensive concrete. The reciprocal roof form will be constructed from circular timber poles for efficiency and will be clad with a cedar shingle roof.
