A new headquarters for newspaper company located in Essex.
Echo House is a new headquarters for a newspaper company that reflects the new ways of working for the industry. It is a digital company and requires
a new fit for purpose building that will enable the company to continue publishing in the 21st Century.
The brief called for a budget conscious building that maximized the built form on a constrained out of town industrial site. In common with the surrounding buildings, our response has been to create a simple rectangular form that has been designed as an object in space. The building is almost classical in form and dominates the site.
Rhythm & Order
The building façades have been subdivided using brick fins and glazed panels to create a regular rhythm to forming a unified and composed whole.
